Sugarland Run Dolphins
Welcome to the Sugarland Run Dolphins
Swim Team!
The Sugarland Run Dolphins are proud
members of the Colonial Swim League and
have been making waves since 1975.
Founded as both a developmental and competitive swim team, the Dolphins have offered generations of local swimmers the opportunity to build confidence, master technique, and have a ton of fun during the summer months!
Whether your swimmer is just starting or looking to improve their competitive edge, the Dolphins provide a welcoming and spirited team environment.

Parent Involvement
The Dolphins are a parent-run organization — and that means your involvement is essential!
Each swim meet requires about 50 volunteers to run smoothly. Volunteering is not only necessary, but it’s also one of the best ways to become part of the team community.
Volunteer Roles Include:
- Deck officials (training provided)
- Timers
- Clerks of Course (help swimmers get to their races)
- Concession stand helpers
- Ribbon writers
- And much more!
You and your swimmer will have a better
experience when you’re involved.

Who Can Join?
The Sugarland Run Dolphins welcome swimmers:
- Age 18 and under
- Who can swim 25 yards/meters unaided
Note:
The Dolphins program is not a substitute for swim lessons. Swimmers should already have basic water competence.
Coaching & Training
Philosophy
Our experienced coaching staff is dedicated to helping each swimmer enhance their technique and improve their fitness level. Practices are designed to be physically challenging while focusing on:
- Freestyle and Backstroke
- Starts, Turns, and Finishes
- Proper use of swimming equipment
- Introduction to Breaststroke and Butterfly
(based on skill level)
Above all, safety is our top priority, and our coaches work to foster an encouraging and inclusive environment for all swimmers.
